When travelling to countries outside the EU or the Schengen area, you must have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months from the end of your trip. Otherwise, travellers will be refused entry. An identity card is not acceptable for travelling to these countries.
If the child's surname is not the same as the surname of the parent with whom he or she is travelling, the child's birth certificate must be presented to the border guards at the border inspection post. If the child is travelling alone or with an accompanying person to a non-Schengen country, the consent of at least one parent or guardian in English/Polish and a copy of the consent must be submitted to the border inspection post (please pay particular attention to this if the child is travelling without parents but with a grandmother, grandfather or other family members).

When travelling, we recommend that you take out health insurance to cover any necessary medical treatment abroad and any additional costs incurred as a result of an insured event. Before travelling to exotic countries, it is advisable to consult a doctor for preventive vaccinations against communicable diseases. Vaccinations are the responsibility of the tourist and are paid for by the tourist. Vaccination is the administration of a vaccine to a person in order to build up a specific immunity against a specific infectious disease.
Vaccination is one of the most cost-effective means of prevention: vaccination is much cheaper than treatment, both for the individual and for society. It is an opportunity to avoid communicable diseases when travelling, especially in foreign countries.
It is recommended that travellers seek medical attention 4-6 weeks before travelling, as immunity after vaccination takes some time to develop. However, if you have less time before your trip, it is still advisable to seek medical advice, as some vaccinations may be given less time before your trip.
Before travelling, the assessment of which vaccinations are needed should first take into account whether revaccinations are needed (especially for diphtheria, tetanus polio, etc.). Other factors influencing the choice include: the risk of communicable disease, the person's age, health status and previous vaccinations, other risk factors, serious adverse reactions to previous vaccinations, the risk of infecting other people, and the cost of the vaccinations. If children are travelling, they should make sure that they have been vaccinated according to the Republic of Lithuania's childhood preventive vaccination calendar.
